Results are in!
The results are in from the CF screen and I am not a carrier. We are very happy and relieved! The next step? I am not going back to our IVF doctor until August. At that point the doctor wants do a trial transfer, map out my uterus (is that too much info, my apologies) and get me on birth control to regulate my menstrual cycle. The plan is to be ready to start the hormone medications and prepare for IVF as soon as we hear back from the scholarship we applied for. Whatever way it goes we want to be ready to start IVF.

Woo-hoo! That is good news. I'm surprised to hear they want to put you on birth control. It seems like that is opposite of what you are wanting but I guess they know what's best. How long does it take to hear back from the scholarship? I mailed it off so you won't have to wait on me!
That is so awesome! What a relief that must be. I mailed mine in, too- we should compare notes, Em. Haha.
CONGRATULATIONS! I remember when we found out the news i started crying tears of joy!!! :) I am so excited things are coming along for you guys!!! :)
Mandy,
I would love to talk more about IVF with you. I have some questions and wanted to let you know what we are about to get started with.
If you email me sometime saradashner@yahoo.com - i would love to talk to you :)
That is great news!!! I wish you the best in this process. I am not sure that we have officially "met." My name is Lisa and my husband has CF. I found out about your blog from Julie from CF Forums.
We haven't decided what to do about the kids "issue" yet, but I think about it often. Feel free to email me if you ever want to chat!
Best wishes,
Lisa
Good news. I want a map of my uterus. It sounds like a handy thing to have.
WERE AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU BOTH!!!!! A VERY EXCITING ALD SCARY TIME IN YOUR LIFE, BUT IT WILL ALL END WITH A BUNDLE OF JOY! LET US KNOW IF U NEED ANYTHING! WE LOVE U GUYS!
My husband Matt Meese just gave me the link to your blog. I heard that you guys were thinking about IVF but wow you have already started. Reading your entries just gave me an emotional flash back to a little over a year ago when we did IVF. I remember the relief I felt when I found out that I wasn't a carrier. And the anxiety I felt finding out about the process. At that point in my life I had never experienced anything more difficult or worth while. Like you said your emotions are so much more than you anticipated and that won't stop but its justified.
You sound like you are doing great. Good luck and congratulations.
